e first block of a new series of Mastermind was recorded in HQ2 at MediacityUK in Salford Quays in mid May 2011. We have a new set and a new lighting design in a new studio facility. The lighting design for the new set was pre-visualised using WYSIWYG - so that the producer could see the new style of lighting before getting it into studio. The new lighting builds on the beautiful look created on the last series, by using more modern lighting and camera technologies, and incorporating LED's in the set (designed by Richard Hornsby).
